Our Founding Chronicle
An Open Collective Without Creative Restrictions
In Pakistan, breaking into the art world has historically been restricted by rigid conventions, geographical privilege, and commercial gatekeeping. Conventional commercial galleries often demand established personal connections, enforce narrow definitions of what "counts" as art, or take aggressive cuts as high as 40% to 50% from sales.
Rohan Shahzad founded Dream of Strokes in 2021 in Sialkot alongside artists Ahmad Abbas, Fasih-ur-Rehman, and Talha Abuzar under a core philosophy: there are zero restrictions on what type of art belongs here. Whether created with classical oil glazes, heavy acrylic calligraphy, or modern digital art, every piece is celebrated with verified authenticity and fair compensation.
