Section 01

Scope of Agreement & Platform Principles

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "Collector," "Patron," or "Visitor") and Dream of Strokes ("the Studio," "we," "our," or "us"), an independent fine art and creative collective based in Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan.

Dream of Strokes operates under a foundational principle: there are no restrictions on creative medium or artform. We exhibit, sell, and commission both physical original paintings (classical and contemporary Arabic calligraphy, fine art oil realism, textured palette-knife impasto, landscapes, and still life) and digital art creations (digital calligraphy, concept art, and Ultra-HD digital master editions).

By accessing our website, inquiring through studio channels, commissioning artwork, or acquiring a physical or digital piece, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

Section 02

Originality Guarantee & Certificate of Authenticity

Every physical artwork displayed as an original painting on Dream of Strokes is guaranteed to be a genuine, physically handcrafted work created by our resident artists (Rohan Shahzad, Ahmad Abbas, Fasih-ur-Rehman, Talha Abuzar) or verified collective contributors.

  • Zero Mass-Reproductions: Physical original paintings are never factory posters, photographic prints with surface gel medium, or dropshipped reproductions.
  • Official Certificate of Authenticity: Every acquired physical painting and digital edition is issued an official serialized Dream of Strokes Certificate of Authenticity. This document records the title, medium, dimensions, date of completion, registry tracking ID, and artist hand signature.
  • Physical Inscriptions: Original canvases are hand-signed by the creating artist on the front or verso, accompanied by the studio's archival registry stamp.
Section 03

Digital Art Editions & Collector Licensing

When you acquire an artwork categorized under Digital Art from our platform, you receive access to an Ultra-HD lossless master file package (typically 300 DPI print-ready TIFF, PNG, or vector archives).

Digital Collector Rights & Restrictions

Your acquisition grants you a non-exclusive, perpetual personal collector license to display the digital artwork on digital screens, print for private residential display, or display within private corporate offices. You may not resell the raw digital master files, sub-license to stock libraries, mass-merchandise commercially, or mint the artwork onto decentralized NFT registries without explicit written studio authorization.

  • Digital Master Download: Digital art assets are delivered securely through your Collector Vault upon payment verification.
  • Lossless Archival Integrity: Digital collector assets are prepared to exacting print-lab color spaces (Adobe RGB / CMYK calibrated) suitable for large-format physical canvas or giclée printing.
Section 04

Bespoke Commission Policy & Milestones

Custom artwork commissions (such as personalized Quranic calligraphy verses, family heirlooms, or specific architectural dimensions) represent a collaborative journey between collector and artist.

  • Deposit Requirement: A 50% initial commitment deposit is required before studio preparation commences. This secures dedicated easel time and covers custom timber stretcher milling, natural linen preparation, and high-viscosity artist pigments.
  • Milestone Video & Photographic Reviews: The assigned artist provides live photographic and video progress updates via WhatsApp at critical stages (verse composition, initial structural blocking, and primary paint layering).
  • Balance Settlement: The remaining 50% balance is settled upon final photographic approval of the completed painting prior to custom wooden crating and dispatch.
  • Adjustments & Revisions: Minor aesthetic refinements within the agreed brief are accommodated during easel execution. Fundamental revisions deviating from the approved scripture or scale after painting has begun may incur additional studio material costs.
Section 05

Custom Crating, Courier Dispatch & Transit Insurance

Fine art canvas paintings require specialized packaging to withstand regional climate shifts and handling during domestic and international transit:

  • Museum-Grade Packaging: Canvases are wrapped in non-abrasive acid-free glassine paper, surrounded by high-density polyethylene impact foam, corner-protected with rigid edge guards, and encased in custom-built wooden crates.
  • 100% Transit Insurance: All physical deliveries within Pakistan (via TCS Express or Leopard Courier) and international overseas consignments (via DHL Express) are fully insured against physical loss or courier impact damage during transit.
  • Inspection Window: Collectors must visually inspect the exterior wooden crate upon delivery. In the rare event of transit damage, notify the studio via WhatsApp within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the outer crate and canvas so our insurance claims team can resolve the claim immediately.
Section 06

Inspection, Returns & Cancellation Policy

Our return policies reflect the unique nature of physical fine art and irreversible digital assets:

  • Ready-to-Ship Physical Paintings: For pre-existing gallery paintings, we offer a 7-day studio inspection window from receipt date. If the artwork does not harmonize with your interior, you may return it for studio credit or refund, provided the artwork is in its original pristine condition, undamaged, and repacked securely in its original wooden crate. Return courier transit costs are the responsibility of the collector.
  • Bespoke Custom Commissions: Because custom commissioned paintings are created specifically to your personal specifications (sacred ayahs, personal names, custom dimensions), commission deposits and final payments are non-refundable once the final artwork has been approved and dispatched.
  • Digital Art Assets: Due to the immediate, irreversible nature of digital master downloads, digital art purchases are non-refundable once download links have been delivered to your Collector Vault.
Section 07

Intellectual Property & Artist Moral Rights

Acquisition of a physical canvas painting or digital collector asset transfers physical or licensed digital ownership of that specific tangible or digital object to the collector.

However, in accordance with the Copyright Ordinance, 1962 of Pakistan and international copyright conventions (Berne Convention):

  • The underlying copyright, intellectual property rights, and moral rights to the artwork remain vested in the original creating artist and Dream of Strokes.
  • The collector may not create unauthorized commercial merchandise, mass prints, poster reproductions, or derivative commercial commercial products from the painting without a separate written licensing agreement with the studio.
  • Dream of Strokes retains the non-exclusive right to display high-resolution images of completed works in our portfolio, retrospective publications, and gallery archives.
Section 08

Governing Law, Studio Jurisdiction & Inquiries

These Terms of Service and all related collector transactions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any legal dispute arising under this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Sialkot or Lahore, Punjab.
