- Stretched Canvas vs. Rolled Canvas: To optimize overseas freight and reduce risk of transit impact, international collectors may choose between solid wooden export crates for pre-stretched canvases or heavy-duty architectural PVC tubes for unstretched rolled canvases ready for local gallery framing.
- Carriers: International shipments are handled by premier global air freight services including DHL Express and FedEx International Priority with end-to-end flight tracking.
- Customs, Duties & Taxes: Any import tariffs, customs brokerage, VAT, or local inspection duties levied by destination border authorities are the sole responsibility of the international buyer.

Handcrafted original canvases feature delicate impasto textures, oil varnishes, and genuine 24K gold leaf illumination that cannot be handled like commercial merchandise. Every physical painting undergoes a rigorous 4-stage packaging protocol:
- Stage 1 — Acid-Free Glassine Wrapping: A breathable, moisture-neutral glassine paper barrier is laid directly over the dried varnish and paint layer to prevent sticking or abrasions.
- Stage 2 — Multi-Layer Shock Absorption: The canvas is encased in double-layer heavy-gauge air bubble wrap, completely sealing against humidity and temperature fluctuations.
- Stage 3 — Heavy-Duty Corner & Edge Guards: High-density reinforced foam or thick cardboard corner protectors are fitted to safeguard the mitered timber stretcher corners.
- Stage 4 — Solid Wood / Reinforced Plywood Crating: The protected artwork is secured within a rigid, custom-screwed solid wood or 5mm plywood crate with internal bracing to ensure zero puncture risk during transit.
Dispatch Timelines & Live Tracking
We prioritize prompt and secure handover to logistics providers:
- Ready-to-Hang Gallery Artworks: Pre-existing paintings displayed in the online gallery are crated and dispatched within 24 to 48 business hours of cleared payment.
- Bespoke Commissions: Custom commission timelines depend on the agreed painting completion, drying, and varnishing schedule (typically 2 to 4 weeks), and are dispatched immediately upon final video approval and balance settlement.
- Real-Time Tracking: As soon as the courier scans the crate, a live tracking code and photographic proof of the sealed crate are sent directly to the collector via WhatsApp and email.

Upon arrival of your crated artwork, extreme care must be taken during opening to protect the canvas:
Mandatory Continuous Unboxing Video Recording
Collectors are required to record a continuous, unbroken video from the moment the courier hands over the package, clearly showing the exterior seals, shipping label, and the sequential opening of the wooden crate until the canvas is revealed. This video serves as the sole evidentiary basis in the event of courier rough handling or damage.
- Opening Tools: Use a standard Philips-head screwdriver to remove crate lid screws. Never use heavy crowbars, hammers, or utility knives that could penetrate through the inner packaging into the canvas surface.
- Visual Verification: Immediately inspect the stretcher timber, canvas tension, paint surface, and the hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity.
Ready-to-Hang Gallery Artwork Returns & Eligibility
We want collectors to acquire art with complete confidence. For ready-to-hang original paintings purchased directly from the studio's curated inventory:
- 48-Hour Inspection Window: If you wish to request a return, you must notify the studio in writing via WhatsApp or email within 48 hours of recorded delivery.
- Condition Requirement: The painting must be in its original, pristine, unhung condition, with the serialized Certificate of Authenticity intact and zero signs of environmental exposure (smoke, humidity, UV bleaching).
- Return Shipping & Crating: The collector is responsible for safely repacking the artwork into its original protective wooden crate and paying all return courier and transit insurance fees.
- Refund Processing: Once the studio receives the returned painting and verifies its pristine condition, a refund (less initial dispatch courier costs and handling fees) is issued within 3 to 5 business days.
Bespoke Commissions & Digital Art Non-Returnability
Certain categories of artwork are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable:
- Bespoke & Custom Commissions: Because custom pieces (such as personalized calligraphy verses, specific color adaptations, or bespoke dimensions) are handcrafted specifically to the buyer's unique specifications and approved via milestone video proofs, they cannot be returned or refunded once approved and dispatched. - Digital Art Assets: Due to the instant, irreversible delivery of lossless high-resolution digital master files (300 DPI print-ready TIFF/PNG), digital downloads are non-refundable once issued.

Dream of Strokes provides an open exhibition platform, artistic showcase, and community collective for independent Pakistani artists and art sellers. The website owners, founders, directors, and platform operators do not operate as an escrow agency, merchant of record, or delivery courier service for third-party seller listings.
Important Buyer Responsibility Notice
1. Zero Founder Liability for Damaged Paintings: The website owners and founders bear no legal or financial responsibility for paintings damaged during transit, dropped parcels, broken timber frames, or courier mishandling. Transit risks and courier arrangements are conducted between the buyer and the seller.
2. Zero Founder Liability for Scams or Fraud: The website owners and founders bear no responsibility whatsoever if a buyer encounters fraud, misrepresentation, non-delivery, or scam activities from third-party sellers. Dream of Strokes does not hold buyer funds or guarantee third-party transactions.
3. Sole Responsibility of the Buyer: It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to verify the legitimacy of third-party sellers, request live video proof of the physical artwork, inspect crated parcels immediately upon delivery, and agree on courier insurance coverage prior to transferring funds.
